Hi Frank, we met sometime ago when my on and Angelo Buccarelli (Carlo & Rosanna son) were looking at a mortage for the new townhouse they bought. I now am looking for a mortgage for a cottage in Quebec. The cottage would probably be sold for 78 to 80K. My husband Perry and I own our home in Glabar Park (valued @ approx 280K), we own a cottage in Quebec (value @ approx 175K). This property is the cottage next to our cottage, we would like to have the opportunity to own this property fo the privacy. The cottage is a fixer upper with lot so potential. My oldest son and wife would likely split this mortage with us so they would be half-owners. They are home owners in Kanta - value of the home would be appox 175-190K (they will be renewing their mortage next July). They have been in their home for 4 years. Knowing the numbers would be the deciding factor as to how the split/division of the mortage would be. Looking forward to hearing from you... I am a first time buyer and have no idea what is involved with getting a mortage. what would be my first steps to figure out what type of mortage i can get.
